The management team works hard to form lasting relationships with both clients and employees. In addition to the teams listed below we have dedicated practice managers for most technologies including Java, Microsoft, Quality Assurance, Technical Training and others.
Jeff Soderberg founded Software Technology Group, Inc. in 1996 and serves as the general manager. Prior to founding STG, Jeff worked in the IT industry as both a consulting manager and an application developer. In 1986 he was a co-founder of a Utah-based investment accounting software solutions company.
Jeff received a masters degree in business administration from the University of Utah. When not at work Jeff enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and mountain biking.
Craig Christensen joined the management team of Software Technology Group in September, 1999. He got involved in the IT industry in 1991 and into consulting in 1996 doing development and management work. His deep understanding of the industry and its methods is constantly growing and changing to fit today's business needs.
Craig is married and has five children. When he is not running around after his kids, he can be found running around bases for one of his many teams, chasing a little white ball at golf courses, or running up and down the court playing basketball.
Lance Scoffield joined the management team of Software Technology Group in September, 2005. He has over 10 years of experience in sales, sales management and IT consulting.
He started his IT career as a project manager. He then went into varied sales and consulting roles over the next 10 years. He recently completed work as a Business Development Manager responsible for two separate product lines. He has also helped formulate sales and marketing strategies for several startup companies.
Lance enjoys photography, computers and spending time with his family.
Matt Seegmiller joined Software Technology Group in March,2005. He has over six years of experience in the information technology industry, with specific experience in sales, marketing, and staffing.
Matt started his IT career in sales and account management. Prior to working for STG, he worked in the formation and management of two successful startup companies focused on client development, management and staffing.
Chick Lignell joined the management team of Software Technology Group in September, 2005. He has over fifteen years in the IT industry and a wealth of experience related to client account management, project management, and sales support.
Chick's focus has primarily been in the Health, Financial, and Manufacturing industries. Chick holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minor in Spanish from Weber State University.
He is married and has seven children. When Chick isn't riding wave runners with his family, he may be found on the practice range getting ready for a golf tournament. He also enjoys working around the house, feeding his chickens, and going on long road trips with his family to historical sites across the U.S.
Jeremy Schultz joined Software Technology Group in April, 2008. He has more than nine years experience in the information technology industry. He has a wealth of experience in Project Management, Business Development, and Sales. Jeremy moved from the Finance industry into IT with a focus on large ERP software implementations in the Municipal Government and Utilities sectors.
Jeremy is a Utah native who loves Fly Fishing, photography, being outdoors and spending time with his family.
Thayne Martin originally joined Software Technology Group in July, 1998. After spending 2003-4 in Human Resource Management positions elsewhere he has rejoined the STG team. Thayne has over 12 years of Human Resources experience with eight years in IT staffing.
Thayne has a masters degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in HR and is working on his MBA. During his career he has worked in various settings with some outstanding companies in the Salt Lake area.
In his spare time, Thayne enjoys spending time with his family and competing in triathlons. But not to set the wrong impression, he thinks of himself as an active “couch potato” and loves watching movies and vegging.
Kerry Dew joined Software Technology Group in September, 2003. She has over 10 years of consulting experience related to business assessments, account / team management, analysis, project management, and product development.
Kerry has a masters degree in business administration and has spent a great deal of time in healthcare business intelligence. During her career she has worked as a director, manager, data analyst, marketing and strategic planning director, and research technician. She has worked for several national companies as well as local employers across the Wasatch front.
In her spare time, Kerry enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, and traveling.
Ron Bryce joined Software Technology Group in April, 2006. Ron enjoys interviewing potential STG team members and growing our technical staff. Previous to joining the STG team, Ron worked for over 12 years in project management, marketing/sales, and customer service.
In his free time Ron enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He loves to play basketball and coaches his childrens' teams whenever possible. When Ron isn’t coaching or playing basketball, he can be found mowing his lawn or drinking lemonade in the shade with his family.
Crystal Peterson began her career with Software Technology Group in March, 2000. Her work in IT Consulting started in 1996 giving her a solid background in this industry. Crystal oversees all Operations and the Office Administration Team. She coordinates HR functions and Marketing Campaigns, and also develops Policies and Procedures which promote our STG culture.
Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 beautiful children and can occasionally be found training for a marathon.
Melanie Hood joined Software Technology Group in November, 2004. Melanie works directly with all STG new hires and consultants. She provides new employee orientation, benefits and expense report processing, as well as payroll and billing.
Melanie previously worked in a small accounting firm. She was responsible for office management and serving customers’ needs for five years, giving her a strong background in internal office management activities.
Melanie is currently going to school as night working toward her CPA and enjoys the small amount of spare time she can find to spend with her family.
Camille Cornaby has been with Software Technology Group since a few months after its inception in 1996. She has served many roles while with STG, including account management, employee relations, and company image.
In her spare time, Camille enjoys spending time with her family and likes to rock climb, bicycle, and hike.
Kellie Bower joined Software Technology Group in June, 2006. She is responsible for all STG employee benefits, including health and dental insurance, life and disability, and 401K. She is very knowledgeable about all aspects of STG's office administration and is always pleased to help employees with questions.
Kellie enjoys working with children and adults with disabilities. She volunteers her time and has worked at Meadowlark Elementary school assisting their speech and physical therapists. Kellie also loves animals, spending time with her friends, and movies.
Shannon Feeney joined Software Technology Group in September, 2007. Her responsibilities include assisting with all accounting at STG, including cash management, accounts payable, invoicing, and client contracts.
Shannon enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys reading novels and attending movies.
