The history and philosophy of STG
Founded in 1996, Software Technology Group is a privately held corporation located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Over the years our market presence, reputation for project delivery, and ability to provide the most highly skilled consultants has grown consistently.
When STG started we were a staffing company, providing resources for computer software projects to clients on a staff augmentation basis. Over our years in business, we have added to our service offering by implementing and growing our full-service project business and we continue to specialize in both areas.
STG employees have always worked hard and provided expertise and experience to our clients. STG’s environment allows employees time for family, friends and outside activities. This philosophy of hard work and time for family and play has served us well and aided in our growth. It has created an environment where employees are able to be focused and fresh for daily client tasks, and has also created a cycle where we have more employee stability, meaning less turnover and more consistent expertise available to our clients.
STG has remained strong in our ability to change technologies with the changing market. Today we have more than 125 employees, with most of them working as software developers, quality assurance professionals, and project managers for varied industries throughout the west.
STG has been profitable in every year of business and continues to be financially solid. Even with historic market fluctuations through the years that caused company and market decreases, we are proud to have stayed strong in our revenue. It has always been STG’s priority to hold to our core values and adhere to the importance of customer satisfaction and employee retention.
In May of 2006 STG purchased, remodeled, and moved into a modern office and development space in an historic building located at 555 South 300 East, in downtown Salt Lake City. STG has taken great pride that our renovation has accomplished a state-of-the-art development center and professional office facilities.
